Welcome to Burnham Boat Owners Sea Angling Association.

We are a small boat club that has been established since 1976, based in Burnham on Sea in Somerset. We are affiliated with the Angling Trust and Bristol Channel Federation Of Sea Anglers.

The aim of our Association is to provide a club for small boat owners and to further the sport of small boat angling. It is our policy to expand on the successful foundation built up over the years, which has provided an almost unique sense of comradeship between us all.

    Somerset small boat angling.
  • We hold our monthly meetings at The Oak Tree Arena.
  • We also enjoy social events, including BBQ's and a Christmas Social evening for the whole family.
  • We hold regular fishing competitions throughout the year, out of Burnham On Sea as well as away days and weekends.
  • Trophies are awarded annually at our 'Presentation Night'.
  • Annual membership of the club currently costs £30.00 for Adults and £5.00 for Juniors.

Supporting BASS, the bass conservation group.
Burnham Boat Owners, actively encourage the conservation of fish stocks, by setting high minimum fish sizes, which are far in excess of DEFRA minimum size limits.

Our members have actively supported BASS the bass conservation group by lobbying Parliament for higher minimum fish sizes.

We carry out a catch and release policy on many of our competitions, ensuring that fish can be caught for another day, after detailed weights are kept.
