Boxing Day 2013

Three boats fished Burnham on Boxing Day Sea Sprite with Captain Dave Hardup and Craig as crew, Obsession with Bristol Boys Andy and Nigel and, Mark Draper on his boat with his son and brother.
They fished over the high tide in lumpy conditions catching plenty of mid sized rays, congers to just over double figures and lots of small whiting.
Well done guys for taking advantage of a small break in this awful weather, I did suggest to my Mrs I might fish on Boxing Day I can’t print her reply on a family web site!!

Fish of the month updates

IMG_8937 (1) - CopyNigel Devey won the fish of the month for June with a plaice of 6lb 4oz, I can’t find a picture of the fish but here is one of Nigel collecting his winnings.
We’d all rather see the fish!!

July was won by Brad Winterson with another Plaice this time 5lb 3oz, again I don’t seem to have a picture of the fish or even Brad, so here is his stunt double collecting the ward on his behalf!!

Bit of a gap now I’m afraid until November with Nigel Devey again appearing in the honours list again with a cod of 3lb 1oz caught in the top boat competition.
This time we have a picture of fish and captor!!

Christmas Fayre

Hopefully you all had a text this morning informing you that the Christmas Fayre has been cancelled again due to high winds. It has been a poor year weather wise which has really limited the matches and pleasure trips lets hope it improves next year. I hope you manage to get out over Christmas and catch a kipper of a cod, as long as its less than 15lb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wishing you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
