And here is a picture of a ray one of them caught with a twisted curly tail.

Pete said it’s tail was the same pattern as the wake Mark made whilst he was looking for the club bank!!

Thursday 13th March 2014

Pete Nicholson and Mark Bowden fished Burnham on Thursday launching early at 6am in heavy mist and, coming back in around 3pm with the mist hanging round all day. They tried various marks during the day catching 30 plus rays and 5 codling. The codling all coming from the last mark of the day around the club bank, 3 small ones and of  one 4lb 5oz for Pete,  not to be beaten Mark had one of 4lb 7oz!

Better than working!!

Mark is leading the way for fish of the month for March.

Sunday 9th March

Craig Willis and Gary Heaton took advantage of a break in the recent gales to sneak out for a short trip over high water on Sunday 9th of March. They went out  past the club bank to try and find a little bit more tide and enjoyed a warm day, if a little lumpy, catching a dozen or so rays and a couple of congers. High light of the day though was seeing a small porpoise in the bay.
