Catch Report 5th Feb
Nigel & Andy were out from Burnham on Sunday, They fished Lilstock and had a good day.
About 2o Cod no big ones, a whiting with a 10 inch lamprey attached to it and aAndy had a 23lb 15oz conger which was returned alive.
January’s fish of the month
No surprises this month Terry Garrett’s 27lb 2oz cod is the winner!

This parasite was attached to one of the smaller rays caught on Sunday.
Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th January 2012
Heron fished all day on Saturday skippered by Steve George with Chris Evans on board. Staying around Lilstock they took 13 codling to 7 1/2lbs with lots of thornies,
Doggies and strap congers providing plenty of sport.
Sunday saw more club boats out with Makita, Slipper 1 and Natalie Jane fishing
a short session over high tide and Vicoue coming out later and doing a long one down to low water and up.
Dicky and Fred Saxby on Natalie Jane had cod early on with Fred christening his birthday present, a new rod, with a 3-4lb codling, a happy birthday to him!
Fishing around Hinkley they had a few more codling to around 6lb, a few rays and whiting.
Slipper 1 with Craig Willis and me, also fishing Hinkley, started slowly but soon picked up half a dozen rays to 13lb, a conger estimated 12-15lb and a couple of whiting. We had 4 codling towards the end of the day biggest 3-4lb.
Star of the day though was Terry Garrett on Makita with John Chinn,
Terry had a cracking cod which was weighed on shore at 27lb 2oz !!
John did well to with a cod of 7lbs which snaffled one of his whiting!
They had plenty of rays and eels which made for a busy day in the North Channel.
Vicoue had a good day too fishing near Hinkley, with Pete Nicholson and Mark Bowden catching 18 cod up to 6lb and 8 thornback rays.
